From Dry Land to Thriving Food Forest

Our journey began initially as a passion project aimed at transforming dry, depleted land into a thriving, self-sustaining forest ecosystem.

In August 2021, after a long search, we acquired a two-acre piece of land in Kilifi, which was previously used for monoculture maize farming. Years of single-crop cultivation had degraded the soil and left it with poor fertility and water retention. Converting it into a food forest came with challenges, but through a structured approach focused on soil regeneration and introducing Indigenous tree varieties, the forest system eventually stabilised. The system continues to mature and evolve each year, and we’re very excited to see what it grows into.

Our deep interest in regenerative agriculture led us to fully commit to the farm, exploring innovative and sustainable farming methods to grow natural, chemical-free food for ourselves and those closest to us.

Beyond farming, our passion for health and sustainability has driven us to support other Kenyan businesses that share our commitment to creating natural, eco-friendly products. Through our platform, we aim make it easier to discover and source high-quality, locally made goods, the same products we trust on the farm and in our daily lives.
